Our Process

 

 

1) Initial Meeting

 

  • Onsite meeting to discuss goals, objective and requirements for the project.
  • Client shares desired lifestyle or aesthetic changes for the home as well as any pre-selected material options
  • Decide whether a formal design plan is needed.
  • If the project is determined to be straight forward an initial estimate will be provided
  • A list of action items will be established along with a date for the Plan Review Meeting
  •  

    2) Design Phase

     

  • If it is determined that a formal design plan is needed, a meeting will be scheduled with the design team.
  • The design team consists of the client, a residential interior designer, an architect and an engineer.
  • The team will work closely with the client to select materials and to produce any required architectural/engineering drawings for the project.
  • A Design Contract is required in advance of the design services.

    3) Planning Meeting

     

  • After the project scope is finalized, a plan review will occur.
  • Bama Remodeling will provide a scope of work which includes drawings, list of materials selections, budget and schedule for the project.
  • After finalizing the plan, a contract will be signed.
  • Contract to include schedule, budget, material and payment plan.
  •  

    4) Payment Method

     

  • Contracts with a relatively short schedule typically include a payment method consisting of an initial payment and a final payment.
  • The initial payment typically covers cost of materials. 
  • The final payment typically covers labor and expenses.
  • Contracts with longer schedules typically include a weekly draw schedule.
